Helmets Off

A Supreme Court Decision allows states to write their own sports gambling rules. Previously it was banned in all but a few states.

Now any state can write in their own rules. The hope is states can capture some of the illegal betting business and make it legit and tax paying.

Scott suspects this is really going to take off like crazy. More and more fans will participate as the access gets easier.

There could be a lot of in-game betting. These are bets that are placed as games progress.

Maybe the pro leagues can get in on the business and take a cut of the bets. You can argue that since people are making money from the work the NFL, NBA, etc, do then they deserve a cut of the action.

But does this impact the integrity of a game? Will gambling lead to game manipulation?

What about the morality of gambling? People will spend money on betting when they should be spending on other things.
