Social media is powerful. A simple video had major league baseball fans in an uproar. A fan seemingly took a foul ball from a small child at a Chicago Cubs game and a video was quickly posted to Twitter. What fans didn't see is that the man who seemingly took the ball had given the child and other children around plenty of balls. In a matter of minutes, billions of people thought and expressed those thoughts about the man being a jerk (and other things). This shows the power of social media and how quickly stories can be spun from short videos rather than seeing the entire picture. Scott Mitchell was a record-setting quarterback at the University of Utah. After being drafted into the NFL he played for the Miami Dolphins, Detroit Lions, Cincinnati Bengals and Baltimore Ravens.
